Canon C50 Halo Kit
Description
Need a more complex rig than the Canon C50’s compact form factor will allow? The Canon C50 Halo Kit keeps things low-profile, whilst adding an array of extra functionality to your rig.
Combining our Universal Cage with purpose-built C50 parts, the Halo Kit gives you the best of both worlds.
- Seamless Shooting – Use the Universal Dovetail to transition between DJI and Manfrotto mounts.
- Quick-Release – Effortlessly dismount the camera from the dovetail thanks to the built-in Arca plate.
- Easy Rigging – Build up your camera from the selection of 1/4″ and 3/8” anti-twist threads as well as MAP M4 points, QD sockets and NATO rails.
- Handle Clearance – Use the C50’s stock handle without collision.
- Cable Connection – The included HDMI Clamp maintains a steady connection at all times.
What's Included:
“Cinematic” doesn’t mean slapping on a matte box and calling it a day: professional productions call for professional solutions. Our Canon C50 Halo Kit is exactly that: a versatile rigging setup that strikes the balance of a clean form factor with a build bursting at the seams with functionality. Covered in accessory mounts and compatible with a range of mounting systems, your C50 rig will truly be ready for anything.
Durable and dependable, there’s only one choice for building the best C50 cage – and you’re looking at it.
No Unexpected Twists
There’s nothing worse than an unreliable rig: the discomfort of watching your expensive hardware wobble in place, no matter how hard you tighten it. For productions where precision is essential, our C50 Bottom Plate won’t let you down. Our anti-twist lip on the front keeps the camera firmly aligned, cutting out the guesswork as to whether you’ve installed everything correctly.
Quick-Release Convenience
The Halo Kit features extra compatibility and functionality, giving you plenty of options. Alongside the Bottom Plate’s built-in Arca Swiss plate, the Universal Dovetail features unique dual compatibility with Manfrotto and DJI receivers – making it effortless to switch between mounts. These two – with the Arca Receiver as the middleman - mean you can quick release your rig from a mount, and your camera from the rig itself.
Clean Rigging
Of course, the main point of a cage is adding accessories to your rig – and in this instance, the Halo Kit spoils you. Choose from your classic bolt-on mounts via 1/4" and 3/8” screw threads – each with anti-twist pin threads – or alternative mounts including MAP M4 points, QD sockets and integrated NATO rails. You’ve got the choice of adding directly to the camera or spacing things out via the Halo: which offers even more rigging real-estate.
Balanced Builds
For a more low-profile setup more true to the C50’s form factor, you’ve still got plenty of rigging options. Our Left and Right Side Plates strike a balance between hugging the camera body and clearance for accessorising. The Left Side Plate gives you space to access the various inputs on the side of the C50, as well as easy space for attaching the included C50 HDMI Clamp so that you never lose signal.
Easy Handling
For a comfortable overhead grip, you have plenty of choice. Attach a compatible Top Handle via the Halo – with both NATO and 1/4"-20 mounting options – or use the stock C50 top handle. We’ve carefully spaced the Halo to not clash with the handle, so you’ll be able to use both cleanly.
