Featuring a selection of reliable rigging options – from standard anti-twist screw threads to ARRI rosettes – the Left Side Plate is a versatile option for your camera setup.

Mounting to our Universal BUD Plate and Sony VENICE Sliding Top Plate, the Left Side Plate lets you reach the full potential of your VENICE.

Quick-Release

One of the easiest options for mounting accessories, the Left Side Plate’s integrated NATO rail is ideal for quickly adding or swapping accessories on your VENICE setup. Capped at the base by an ARRI rosette and with an easy-press safety catch on top, you can shoot with confidence that your attached accessories won’t fall off.

Ready for Rigging

If you want to keep things simple, however, the Left Side Plate features a selection of standard 1/4" and 3/8” anti-twist points for adding to your VENICE. Each of these features circular anti-twist points in the ARRI standard, making it easy to angle and adjust your accessories.

Get to Grips

If you need to transition to handheld shooting or want a comfortable point to pan your shot, the Left Side Plate features a precision-cut ARRI rosette. Compatible with a range of accessories including our KASBAH Hand Grips, the rosette gives you accurate and secure placement with teeth every six degrees – meaning your hand grip is always at the right angle.

A Complete Cage

Combined with the BUD Plate and Top Plate, you can form a rigid cage around the Sony VENICE: strong enough to mount heavier camera gear without flexing or breaking, taking the strain off your expensive camera body. The Side Plate maintains full access to the VENICE’s core inputs, so you don’t have to compromise on form or function.

The Sony VENICE 1 & 2 Left Side Plate Mk II comes with all required components and screws. You will require our Universal BUD Plate and Sony VENICE 1 & 2 Sliding Top Plate Mk II in order to attach it, as well as your own 3mm and 4mm Hex Key to install the screws.

1. Align the Left Side Plate with the screw threads on the left side of the Top Plate and BUD Plate – the ARRI rosette should be towards the bottom, and the Side Plate should sit towards the front of both plates.

2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to screw the two M4 screws on the base into the BUD Plate, and a 4mm Hex Key to screw the one 1/4" screw into the Top Plate.

The Sony VENICE 1 & 2 Left Side Plate Mk II is designed to fit the Sony VENICE 1 and Sony VENICD 2 series of cameras: with mounting points precisely designed to fit to the Universal BUD Plate and the Sliding Top Plate – both sold separately.
