Attach it to one of our Top Plate options, plug in your HDMI lead, and get back to shooting: the HDMI Clamp is designed to be forgotten about, so you can get back to making the unforgettable.

Even non-filmmakers know the pain of a cable that only works when at a certain angle: we’ve all lost a little bit of battery life to a dodgy charge lead at some point. The HDMI Clamp keeps that problem in the past: helping you lock your cable into place, keeping a stable connection from FX5 to external display.
Low-Profile
If you’re running a stripped-back build with our FX5 Corner Top Plate, maybe with a monitor mounted in the Cold Shoe, the HDMI Clamp is ready to mount in moments. If you’re using the FX5 with a more rigged-out setup on our NATO Top Plate, then the HDMI Clamp is ready just as quickly. In both cases, the Clamp sits nestled against the FX5 body for a minimal footprint: meaning you can shoot in comfort.
Clean Clamping
The FX5 HDMI Clamp has a simple yet intuitive design that is secure right up until the moment you don’t want it to be. The Clamp can be adjusted to fit HDMI cable housings up to 10.9mm thick, all the way down to 5.9mm, with a few twists of a Hex Key. When it comes time to wrap, all it takes is a few twists the other way.

The Sony FX5 HDMI Clamp comes as a standalone unit, that mounts to either the Sony FX5 NATO Top Plate or the Sony FX5 Corner Top Plate. You will require a 2.5mm Hex Key in order to install it.
1. Align the screw thread of the HDMI Clamp with the marked gap on your choice of Top Plate.
2. Insert your HDMI cable and align the Clamp so that the flat base of the cable is flush with the Clamp.
3. Use the 2.5mm Hex Key to fully tighten the Clamp to the Side Plate.
4. Secure the HDMI cable in place by tightening the thumbscrew.
