Easy Rigging
Want to balance your build? The Rear Top Plate lets you relocate components to the top of the KOMODO-X, making for better weight distribution – especially on bulkier rigs. The row of 1/4" and 3/8” screw threads each have dedicated anti-twist locating threads, so your mounted gear stays locked in place.
Brace Yourself
If you’re still concerned about the rigidity of your RED rig, the Rear Top Plate helps you keep things braced. Support your Right Side Plate via the dedicated mount, and the Top Plate is also designed to work with our Extended Handle Brace – both the standard and RED Monitor Interface (RMI) variants.

The Rear Top Plate is made from our signature aerospace-grade aluminium: resistant to all the wear-and-tear or corrosion that even the most chaotic of call sheets can throw at it. Despite its strength, the Rear Top Plate is light enough to barely be noticed on your rig, whether it’s directly on your shoulder or balanced on a gimbal.

The RED KOMODO-X Rear Top Plate comes with all required screws, but you will require your own 4mm Hex Key in order to install it. For adding the Handle Brace or Left Side Plate, you will require a 2.5mm and 4mm Hex Key.
1. Align the support Bracket with the top-left corner of the Right Side Plate, and use a 4mm Hex Key to screw it in place.
2. Align the Rear Top Plate to the Bracket and use a 2.5mm Hex Key to secure it in place.

The RED KOMODO-X Rear Top Plate is designed to mount to the RED KOMODO-X, with dedicated mounting screws for that specific camera body.
