Mounting to our new Rear Top Plate, the Handle Extension Brace is an essential addition to create a rigid RED rig.

Smooth Handling

Working with a custom Hollywood-style Top Handle? Protect your RED rig with this Handle Extension Brace. Mounting to our Rear Top Plate and any of our Master Handle Extensions, the Brace provides a secondary mounting column for your handle: preventing flex in your Top Handle – or even worse, wobble of your entire camera body.

Note: this RED KOMODO-X Handle Extension Brace is not compatible with the RED Monitor Interface for DSMC RED Touch 7.0”. You will require the alternative B4002.1095 - RED KOMODO-X Handle Extension Brace (RED Touch 7.0”)

Slide On, Slide Off

When it comes time to wrap, you want to get your RED rig packed down as quickly as possible. With just a few twists of a Hex Key, the Brace loosens and can be slid cleanly off from the Rear Top Plate and Handle Extension. But when installed, you’ve still got full clearance for the KOMODO’s battery slot.

The RED KOMODO-X Handle Extension Brace comes with all required screws. It requires the RED KOMODO-X Rear Top Plate and RED KOMODO-X NATO Top Plate to be installed first in order to be set to the correct height.

1. Align the bottom of the Handle Brace with the 3/8” screw thread on the right side of the Rear Top Plate. Slot the 3/8” screw into place and use a 4mm Hex Key to secure it.

2. Align the top of the Handle Brace with a compatible screw thread on the Handle Extension. Slot the 3/8” screw into place and use a 4mm Hex Key to secure it.

The RED KOMODO-X Handle Extension Brace (RED Touch 7.0”) is designed to bridge the RED KOMODO-X Rear Top Plate and our range of Master Handle Extensions, when a compatible Top Handle is mounted to the RED KOMODO-X NATO Top Plate.

Users mounting the DSMC RED Touch 7.0” with its RED Monitor Interface (RMI) require this alternative RED KOMODO-X Handle Extension Brace.
