Get your RED rig ready for gimbal shooting with our LeftField Mini DJI Kit (52.5-55.5mm), which takes your RED V-RAPTOR to new heights. Featuring our unique lift-off system from ARRI standard dovetails and setting the camera to the correct height for DJI gimbals, this kit gives you everything you need to get started with shooting.

Quick-Release Convenience

Though the LeftField Mini is more compact than LeftField 3 Baseplates, it still features our popular Open•UP system for quick-release convenience. This allows you to seamlessly attach the LeftField Mini Baseplate onto any standard ARRI dovetail in moments. When in place, use the lever on the side to transition between locked, sliding and unlocked on the dovetail.

Compact Clearance

With Riser heights, you have approximately 3mm of leeway – which gives our Riser Shim the potential for a broad range of compatibility. For cameras with an optical centre distance of 52mm-55mm, such as the RED V-RAPTOR and V-RAPTOR X, this Riser Shim is ideal for elevating it on your Baseplate.

(Note: the Shim also factors in the added 14.75mm of height added by the Universal Dovetail)

Easy Installation

The Riser Shim mounts to your LeftField Mini’s central channel via four M4 screws, sitting snugly within the baseplate. The three marked screw threads on the corners are for the DJI Receiver: which is also installed with the same M4 screws and just a few turns of a 3mm Hex Key. From there, clip your Dovetail into place and get shooting.

The LeftField system of quick-release baseplates are the most convenient mounting option for professional filmmakers. Our patented Open•UP system allows you to cleanly mount your camera rig to any ARRI standard dovetail in moments, and release it just as quickly.

You will require a 3mm Hex Key in order to install the LeftField Mini DJI Kit.

Riser Shim to LeftField Mini

1. Align the four M4 screws with the central channels on the LeftField Mini Baseplate.

2. Use a 3mm Hex Key in order to tightly screw the two together.

DJI Receiver to Riser Shim

1. Align the three corner screws of the DJI Receiver with the threads marked “DJI” on the Riser Shim.

2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly secure each of the three screws to the Riser.

The LeftField Mini DJI Kit (52.5-55.5mm) sets cameras to the correct height for use on DJI RS gimbals. The kit requires the Universal Dovetail in order to function correctly. Cameras with an optical centre height between 52mm and 55mm are compatible with this Riser Shim, such as:
