- Open•UP System – The LeftField Mini uses our patented Open•UP system for quick-release convenience.
- 15mm LWS Brackets – Mount 15mm support rods via the two individually-locking rod brackets.
- Camera Compatibility – The Riser elevates a range of cameras to 15mm LWS setups.
- Captive Screws – For attaching to cameras, the Riser features captive 1/4″ and 3/8” screws for fitting different cameras.
What's Included:
As cameras get smaller, so do their baseplates. With the LeftField Mini 15mm LWS Kit, you can downsize your camera setup whilst still maintaining our ultra-convenient Open•UP quick-release system. At 60mm in length – compared to the standard LeftField 3’s 100mm - the LeftField Mini Baseplate is ideal for compact rigs.
Compatible with a range of cameras including the Blackmagic URSA Cine, URSA Mini and Sony BURANO; the LeftField Mini 15mm LWS Kit the ideal choice for filmmakers.
Quick-Release Convenience
Though the LeftField Mini is more compact than LeftField 3 Baseplates, it still features our popular Open•UP system for quick-release convenience. This allows you to seamlessly attach the LeftField Mini Baseplate onto any standard ARRI dovetail in moments. When in place, use the lever on the side to transition between locked, sliding and unlocked on the dovetail.
Ready for Rigging
Paired with the Baseplate, the included Riser sets your camera system to the 15mm LWS height standard: expanding the options for attaching follow-focus wheels, matte boxes and more. For shorter cameras, such as the Blackmagic URSA Cine, the 73mm Riser is the perfect choice for added elevation.
Clean Installation
The Riser installs easily to the LeftField Mini baseplate with just a handful of M4 screws and few turns of a 3mm Hex Key. For attaching your camera, captive 1/4" and 3/8” screws attach to compatible cameras – and can slide to optimise balance. Rubber inlays on the top provide extra grip on the camera base, to prevent twisting.
Part of the LeftField System
The LeftField system of quick-release baseplates are the most convenient mounting option for professional filmmakers. Our patented Open•UP system allows you to cleanly mount your camera rig to any ARRI standard dovetail in moments, and release it just as quickly.
The LeftField Mini 15mm LWS Kit comes with all required components and screws. You will require a 3mm Hex Key in order to install it.
1. Align the four M4 screws with the outer four channels on the LeftField Mini Baseplate.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key in order to tightly screw the two together.
The LeftField Mini 15mm LWS is compatible with a range of camera systems, however they require the dedicated Riser in order to match the correct height. This Riser is designed to add 12mm of elevation to cameras, raising the optical centre to the required 85mm height. Therefore the 73mm Riser’s compatibility includes, but is not limited to:
Blackmagic URSA Cine
Sony BURANO
Sony FX6
Sony VENICE 1 & 2
Sony VENICE Extension System Mini (PL Mount)
