Description
The Vertical Adaptor for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini allows the camera extension block to be mounted at a 90-degree angle from either the Left or Right Side Plate. The Adaptor sets the VENICE Extension to the 15mm LWS standard height when mounted.
Mounting to any dovetail plate via an array of 1/4″ and 3/8” threads, the Vertical Adaptor is an ideal choice for cinematic content creation.
- Vertical Shooting – Set the VENICE Extension up in a portrait orientation with the Vertical Adaptor.
- Side Plate Compatible – The Vertical Adaptor can be used with either the Left or Right Side Plate for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini.
- Varied Mounting Options – The Vertical Adaptor features a range of 1/4″ and 3/8” screw threads for mounting to different plates.
- 15mm LWS Height – The Adaptor sets the VENICE Extension to the correct height for 15mm LWS shooting when used with compatible Baseplates.
The Vertical Adaptor for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini comes with all required screws. You will require either the Left or Right Side Plate for the Sony VENICE Extension System Mini to mount the Adaptor, and a 4mm Hex Key to attach it to your camera rig.
Adaptor to Side Plate
1. Align the two 1/4" screws with the marked threads on the Left or Right Side Plate, using the locating pins to help guide the screws into place.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Adaptor to the Side Plate.
Adaptor to Dovetail
1. Align the 1/4" or 3/8” threads on the Adaptor with a corresponding screw on your dovetail plate.
2. Use the corresponding flathead screwdriver or Hex Key to screw the two together.
The Vertical Adaptor for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini is designed to work with the Sony VENICE Extension System Mini alone. The Adaptor has mounting screws that align with threads on the Left and Right Side Plates for the camera extension block.
The Adaptor adds 58mm of elevation from the optical centre of the Sony VENICE Extension System Mini. In order to reach the 15mm LWS height of 85mm, you will need a compatible Riser.
