Our dedicated FX6 Top Plate Mk III fits seamlessly around the stock FX6 top handle, providing accessory mounting freedom with or without the stock top handle.
Now with 8T threads for power mounting, the Top Plate is the perfect all-in-one rigging option.
- Rig-Ready – The Top Plate features integrated NATO rails, Sony 8T threads and anti-twist screw threads.
- Expandable – If you want to mount your own Top Handle, use the Top Plate Filler to add the finishing touches.
- Battery Mounting – The updated Top Plate features 8T threads on the rear for power pack mounting.
When the shot list is getting longer but time is getting shorter, the Sony FX6 Top Plate keeps things running smoothly. The Top Plate lets you easily mount accessories: with options for NATO, 1/4″, 3/8″ & Sony 8T threads. There are also two Quick Detach (QD) sockets to attach camera straps for handheld or other run-and-gun shooting setups – and dedicated 8T threads for mounting extra power sources.

Unlimited Power
The Mk III Top Plate now feature extra 8T mounting threads on the rear, mirroring the ones on the camera body. This makes your FX6 rig compatible with any accessories reliant on these rigging points, such as V-mount plates from Core-SWX.
All Killer, No Filler?
If you don’t use the stock Sony top handle, you’re not restricted in your options. Our optional Top Plate Filler adds more rigging points to the centre of your FX6, meaning you can add your own handle or other accessories with ease. With the same suite of integrated NATO and bolt-on screw threads, you are spoiled for choice.

The Sony FX6 Top Plate Mk III comes as a standalone unit. You will require your own 3mm Hex Key in order to install it to the camera.
1. Align the screws of the FX6 Top Plate with the threads on the camera – the “Bright Tangerine” logo should sit over the front of the camera.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to secure both sides tightly to the camera.
