The Sony FX6’s Hand Grip is a great option for handheld filming, but you don’t always want to be doing a T-Rex impression with your arms. With our Sony FX6 Adjustable Extension Arm, you can use the Hand Grip at arm’s length, with an adjustable-length arm up to 235mm long.

Made from high-grade aluminium, the FX6 Adjustable Arm will not buckle under pressure.

We’ve purpose-built this extension arm for FX6 shooters – though we do offer a universal option for other camera users. Combine it with any ARRI rosette mount like our Sony FX6 Rosette Adaptor to mount directly to the camera body – or mount to any other ARRI rosette on your rig. The other end features the FX6’s unique bayonet mount for the Hand Grip.

Open Arms

The Arm comes in two distinct segments: with one extending out of the other. Fully extended, the Arm sits at 235mm long – and 155mm fully retracted, giving you 80mm of play. Once you’ve got the position to your liking, simply clamp down the locking lever and secure it in place. No Hex Keys or screwdrivers required, so you can fine-tune to your heart’s content – and your shoulder’s.

Up the Sleeve

Whether it’s a simple wristwatch or a regrettable tattoo, our own arms often get covered in accessories. If you need to run cables along the length of the arm, or mount an extra device, then the Extension Arm lets you do just that. With built-in NATO compatibility, you’ve got easy access to quick-release accessories. There’s also a few 1/4" and M2 threads, for classic bolt-on rigging. 

Tidy Up

We’ve all accidentally snagged a wire at some point: they’re trip hazards for your fingers. But with our included Loom Cable Tidy, you can effortlessly manage your cables on the arm itself. The Loom can wrap around your extension cable in a number of positions – avoiding any accidental releases.

Arm to Rosette
1. Align the Rosette on the Arm with the Adaptor at the preferred angle.
2. Use the thumbscrew to tightly secure the Extension Arm in place.

FX6 Hand Grip to Arm
1. Align the Hand Grip with the bayonet mount on the Arm.
2. Rotate the Hand Grip counter-clockwise until the pins engage.

The Sony FX6 Adjustable Extension Arm is designed to work with the Sony FX6 only, featuring a dedicated bayonet mount to the camera’s body on one end and an ARRI rosette on the other. The arm is 155mm long, and can be extended an additional 80mm – bringing the total length to 235mm.
