Description
The Sony FX5 USB-C Clamp is a dual clamp for both the charge port and data transfer socket on the FX5: giving you secure cable management for both.
Running a stream and want to make sure your cables stay connected? Or maybe you’re wanting to recharge your camera at the same time you transfer media. Whatever the case, the Sony FX5 USB-C Clamp keeps everything locked down.
Mounting to our FX5 Bottom Plate, you can secure your setup in seconds.
Clean Cabling
The FX5 USB-C Clamp sits against the body of the camera, ready for you to feed your leads in. It mounts to our dedicated FX5 Bottom Plate for a secure fit, and can dovetail nicely with our NATO Wing Grip for extra rigging options.
Double Up
The Sony FX5 has two USB-C ports: one for charging, one for data transfer. With the USB-C Clamp, keep both secure. The two clamps can be independently secured, meaning you can keep your power plugged in once the footage has transferred – or vice versa.

Clamping force can be hard to release, so if you’re worried about over-tightening the hold on your cables, the USB-C Clamp can help take the pressure off. Press on the two marked sections of the Clamp to remove the pressure, making it easier to loosen the screw.

The Sony FX5 USB-C Clamp comes as a standalone unit, mounting to the Sony FX5 Bottom Plate. You will require a 2.5mm Hex Key in order to install it.
Clamp to Bottom Plate
1. Align the mounting screw of the USB-C Clamp with the thread on the Bottom Plate – the thread is lower down on the left side of the Plate.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to secure the Clamp in place.
Clamping USB-C Cables
1. Insert USB-C cables into the top and/or bottom cable slots on the FX5.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to tighten the respective Clamp and secure them in place.
3. If over-tightened, press on the marked section of the clamp to relieve some pressure.
Clamp to Bottom Plate
1. Align the mounting screw of the USB-C Clamp with the thread on the Bottom Plate – the thread is lower down on the left side of the Plate.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to secure the Clamp in place.

1. Insert USB-C cables into the top and/or bottom cable slots on the FX5.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to tighten the respective Clamp and secure them in place.
