But what does that look like in practice? The FX5 EVF Bracket is a sturdy alternate mount for your FX5’s viewfinder, and all you need is our EVF Cable to expand the possibilities. Add some extra height or pan-and-tilt functionality via our range of Monitor Mounts, or set it forward on a support rod via any 15mm rod mount. The Sony FX5 EVF Bracket comes as a standalone unit, though you will need a flathead screwdriver in order to install it.

The Sony FX5 EVF Bracket is designed to mount the Sony FX5’s stock tilting EVF, with dedicated mounting points. From there, however, the possibilities are expanded to accommodate any industry-standard mount: with a built-in 15mm rod bracket, a built-in NATO rail and both 1/4" and 3/8” anti-twist threads. This allows the EVF to be positioned and mounted from a range of alternate mounts and setups – though you will require the Sony FX5 EVF Cable in order to connect the FX5 body and the EVF.
