The OpenRig™ Base Kit gives you everything you need to build a robust rig without breaking the bank – or the camera. Mount the rail to your tripod or gimbal of choice, and begin rigging with a huge range of accessories – any camera, anywhere.

We’ve all had that one rig that we’re not proud of: not having the correct mount so resorting to just a bit of Velcro – or God forbid, gaffer tape. With the OpenRig™, you’ll never have that problem again. The dual NATO rails give you a range of quick-release rigging options that can be retrofitted with any accessory you can imagine. The castle-wall-style grooves engage as safety stops, for accurate positioning along the rail.
Quick-Release Convenience
Need to go handheld, or grab a quick still? The OpenRig™ Arca Base lets you quickly detach the camera from your setup, and take it anywhere else. The winged-lever clamp can be loosened for a clean lift-off, and re-attached effortlessly.
Seamless Setups
Whether you’re fixed on sticks or perfecting your ninja-walk, the OpenRig™ can give you an assist. The base of the Rail can mount directly to Manfrotto tripods and DJI RS gimbals – with a spring-loaded gear rack to help balance on gimbals like the RS 4. If you’re wanting something even more straightforward, use the bolt-on screw threads to fix your OpenRig™ in place – then quick-release the rest of your gear as needed.
Base for Expansion
We’ve got a range of extras to help make the most of your new OpenRig™ setup. Prop up your lens mount with our Lens Adaptor Support, add extra quick-release via an Arca Receiver, or bring your whole rig up to the 15mm LWS height standard via the range of Risers. The OpenRig™ system is full of possibilities – these are just some of them.

The OpenRig™ Base Kit comes with all required components and screws, you will require your own 2.5mm Hex Key to assemble the kit.
Anti-Twist Plate to Arca Base
1. Slide the Anti-Twist Plate into the marked grooves on the Arca Base, roughly positioned to match the front of your camera.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to loosely secure the Plate in place, then install your camera to the Arca Base.
3. Align the Plate with the front of the camera, remove the camera, then use a 2.5mm Hex Key to tightly secure the
Anti-Twist Plate.
Arca Base to Camera
1. Align the captive screws with the threads on your respective camera – removing any unnecessary threads.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to attach the Base to the base of your camera.
Arca Base to OpenRig™ Rail
1. Slide the Arca Base into the central channel of the OpenRig™ Rail – with the safety engaged, you will be able to precisely position the camera at different intervals.
2. Use the winged-lever clamp to secure the Base in position on the Rail.
Anti-Twist Plate to Arca Base
1. Slide the Anti-Twist Plate into the marked grooves on the Arca Base, roughly positioned to match the front of your camera.
