Description
The Misfit Atom is a lightweight 2-stage matte box designed for use with gimbals, drones and other small camera builds. With a clip-on design for versatility and weighing just 195g fully-assembled, the Atom provides a vignette-free field-of-view on lenses as wide as 14mm.
Compatible with outer lens diameters as wide as 114mm, the Misfit Atom is an essential tool for filmmakers.

Misfit Atom to Lens (Clip-On)
1. To mount the Misfit Atom to a lens, align the matte box with the lens so that it is level with the lens’ outer diameter.
2. Twist the orange locking screw to secure the matte box in place.
Mounting a Filter
1. To mount filters onto the Misfit Atom, press the top catch.
2. Insert your filter, bottom-first, into the matte box – allowing the top to slide into place under the catch.
3. Release the top catch so that the filter is clipped into place.
Mounting a Second Filter
1. Repeat the steps required to install the first filter into the Misfit Atom: press the top catch.
2. Insert the second filter bottom-first in front of the first – ensuring that the two are level and aligned.
3. Release the top catch.
Removing the Rubber Shade
1. To remove the rubber shade, unclip the rubber shade from around the edges of the Atom and pull it away.
2. To reinstall it, tuck the edges back into place, ensuring it is secure on all four edges.
