The Base Documentary Kit employs the frame of our KASBAH Ātman Shoulder Rig, providing compatibility with ARRI BUD and VCT-14 mounting for convenient transitioning from handheld to tripods or gimbals. The design includes a sliding pad, to help balance the rig on your shoulder - but even without the balance optimised, the unique resin matrix design of the shoulder pad helps keep your shooting comfortable at all times.

Purpose-Built Top Plate

Our purpose-built top plate mounts discreetly to the camera, and provides a platform for mounting further accessories with ease. It is fully compatible with the BURANO's native top handle and monitor mount, along with having an array of mounts for additional accessories such as cheese plates, monitor mounts or other components. The top plate also slides on a miniature dovetail, perfect for fine-tuning the rig's balance.

When setting up your Sony BURANO, make sure to have 3mm and 4mm hex keys and a flathead screwdriver.

Begin by connecting the bottom and top plates to the camera to assemble the basic documentary kit.

To assemble the shoulder rig, begin by affixing the shoulder pad to the rig and then proceed to secure the VCT-14 mount.

Finish the setup by customising your dovetail plates with the top handle & monitor support.

The LeftField Base Documentary Kit is tailor-made for the Sony BURANO camera. It comes with various industry-standard mounts, including the wider 88mm ARRI BUD standard utilising 88mm dovetails, similar to those on the ARRI BUD-1 & BUD-3 plates.
