Struggling to fit larger lenses in with the Halo, or wanting to mount your camera vertically without clipping the top of the cage? With the Halo Vertical Extension, you can give your camera room to breathe whilst still benefitting from the Halo’s Universal design. Simply screw the Extensions into place to give yourself 30mm of extra height.

Ideal for larger or vertically-mounted camera bodies, the Vertical Extension gives you expanded possibilities with minimal limitations.

Camera Clearance

With 30mm of extra height on your Halo, you can expand the rigging capabilities of your setup. Give yourself extra height over larger lenses, or on cameras at the 15mm LWS optical height. If you’re shooting vertically on a compact cine or hybrid stills camera, the Vertical Extension ensure that your cage doesn’t clash with the lens.

Seamless Installation

The Vertical Extension comes in two parts, which are screwed in to each of the Halo side ribs with just a few twists of a 3mm Hex Key. Once installed, it becomes part of the sturdy Halo system: giving you a rigid wraparound cage for any camera. We’ve made the Extension pieces a lighter grey than the Halo, so you can quickly tell when you’re using the extended model.

The Halo Vertical Extension comes with the required screws for adding to the camera cage. You will require your own 3mm Hex Key in order to install it.

1. Use a 3mm Hex Key to disconnect the four M4 screws between the top section and the sides of the Halo.

2. Add the two Vertical Extensions to either side of the Halo cage, using the included screws and the same 3mm Hex Key – the text “Vertical EXT” should be facing outwards on either side.

3. Install the Halo’s top section to the Vertical Extensions, secured with the 3mm Hex and the original M4 screws.

The Halo Vertical Extension is designed to fit onto the Halo Universal Camera Cage: adding 30mm of height to the camera. This allows larger lenses to fit within the camera cage, especially when using cameras with higher optical centres.
