Independent Cage
Whether you’re working with a full camera team or solo-shooting, a long pack-down is always a hassle. With the Halo Cage Kit’s dual quick-release system, you can detach the ZR and Bottom Plate from the rest of your rig. Quickly release the camera to grab some stills, or remove the Halo to adjust one of your accessories – you’ll never have to say “hold for camera” again.
Low-Profile, High-Quality
Our ZR Bottom Plate is designed to match the shape of the camera as a form-fitting cage, making it a convenient and comfortable addition to your rig. The front lip helps keep the camera straightened, meaning that you’ll have no unexpected twists even on the most turbulent of productions. It also features two industry-standard mounts: a built-in Arca dovetail, and a QD socket – to make it quick to clip around your neck or onto the included Arca Receiver.
No Downtime

The Universal Dovetail is a one-of-a-kind system, that is compatible with both Manfrotto tripods and DJI gimbals. Mount rods directly to the front with the included Rod Bracket for a low-profile but highly versatile setup.

From standard bolt-on 1/4" and 3/8” screw threads (each with accurate anti-twist points) to specialist options like QD sockets for camera straps, Cold Shoes for lights or mics and MAP points. The Halo Cage Kit for Nikon ZR comes with all required components and screws. You will require your own 4mm Hex Key to install some components.
Bottom Plate to Camera
1. Align the 1/4" screw on the base of the Bottom Plate with the thread on the base of the ZR – the lip with the “Bright Tangerine” logo should be facing forward underneath the lens mount.
2. Use the included flathead screwdriver to install it.
Dovetail to Rod Bracket
1. Align the two 3/8” screws on the top of the rod bracket with the threads on the base of the dovetail.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tighten both screws into place.
Rods to Rod Bracket
1. Slide the 15mm Rods into their bracket until correctly positioned.
2. Use the lever clamps to tighten each bracket and secure the rods in place.
Arca Receiver to Universal Dovetail
1. Align the Receiver in the central channel of the Universal Dovetail and insert the two 1/4"-20 screws.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver secure the two together.
Bottom Plate to Arca Receiver
1. Clip the Bottom Plate into the Receiver and tighten the lever clamp.
Halo to Rods
1. Slide the completed Halo onto the 15mm rods.
2. Use the two lever clamps to tighten each bracket when in the optimal position.
Bottom Plate to Camera
1. Align the 1/4" screw on the base of the Bottom Plate with the thread on the base of the ZR – the lip with the “Bright Tangerine” logo should be facing forward underneath the lens mount.
2. Use the included flathead screwdriver to install it.
Dovetail to Rod Bracket
1. Align the two 3/8” screws on the top of the rod bracket with the threads on the base of the dovetail.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tighten both screws into place.
