Frame Safe

All of our Clamp Adaptors feature our signature frame-safe design: not only having the circular cut-out for the lens but also a rectangular aperture. This maximises the field-of-view whilst eliminating vignettes – helping you avoid an accidental noir look.

Anamorphic and Spherical-Compatible

If you were in film school, you probably learned about the differences between anamorphic and spherical lenses – as if your gear store had anything beyond a kit lens for the wrong camera. But now, you can try out the latest and greatest primes for yourself, and build out a proper rig with the right lenses. The Clamp Adaptors are compatible with Cooke’s SP3 range of spherical primes (or any ⌀64mm lens set), meaning you can focus on capturing beautiful images rather than the lens flares that ruin them.

No Tools Required

Our matte box back system is tool-free, from mounting to the matte box and mounting to the lens. Simply tighten the matte box clamps over the compatible threads, then twist the lens clamp over your prime – tightly secured from end to end. That said, if you want a bit more peace-of-mind, you can add a 15mm or 19mm rod support bracket in moments, with just a few turns of a Hex Key.

Adaptor to Matte Box
1. Align the open threads on the sides of the Adaptor with the thumbscrews on the matte box, and slide the Adapt to align with the frame.
2. Use the thumbscrews to tightly secure the Adaptor in place.
Matte Box to Lens
1. Align the Adaptor end of the matte box over the lens, and tighten the long thumbscrew until the matte box sits without support on the front of the lens.
