Description
The Canon C80 Top Plate adds a range of accessory mounting options to your camera. A three-point mounting system secures the Top Plate in place, and the plate provides a range of accessory mounting options without obstructing the C80’s native inputs.
Featuring an integrated NATO rail as well as a dedicated mount for the Canon C80 Side Rib, the Canon C80 Top Plate can be used standalone or as part of a complete cage.
- Accessory Mounting – The Top Plate features a range of accessory mounts including 1/4″, 3/8”, MAP M4, Cold Shoe and QD sockets.
- Integrated NATO Rail – The C80 Top Plate has a front NATO rail integrated into the design.
- 15mm Rod Bracket – Attach 15mm rods via the integrated bracket.
- Secure Mounting – The Top Plate uses a three-point mounting system to firmly attach to the C80.
- Relocated Mounts – The Top Plate offers alternative positioning for the C80 Film Plane Hook and Microphone Shockmount.
Top Plate to Camera
1. Use a flathead screwdriver to screw the central screw of the Top Plate to the C80’s top point.
2. Remove the Film Plane Hook from the C80 body.
3. Use a 3mm Hex Key to screw the included bolt into the Film Plane Hook Slot – marked with a padlock on the Top Plate.
4. Use the 3mm Hex Key to screw the third and final screw into the C80’s strap point – also marked with a padlock.
The Canon C80 Top Plate is designed to work with the Canon C80 camera body alone. It has a range of accessory mounts making it compatible with a range of third-party accessories such as microphones and transmitters.
