Description
The Canon C80 Side Rib expands the mounting options of your Canon camera. It features dedicated 1/4″ and 3/8” screw threads, as well as a line of MAP M4 points and a Cold Shoe mount. It mounts discreetly to the left side of the C80 without obstructing any inputs or buttons.
Made from anodised aluminium, the C80 Side Rib is lightweight on your rig for convenient customisation.
- Accessory Mounting Options – The Side Rib features 1/4″, 3/8”, MAP M4 and Cold Shoe mounting points.
- Purpose-Built – Use all of the C80’s buttons and inputs without interference.
- Complete Your Cage – The C80 Side Rib Mounts to the C80 Top Plate, and can form a rigid cage with other accessories.
- Lightweight – The Side Rib is made from lightweight hard-anodised aluminium.
- C70 Compatible – Canon C70 users can mount the Side Rib to LeftField Risers for the C70.
Side Rib to Top Plate
1. Align the top of the Side Rib with the marked screw thread on the C80 Top Plate – the writing should be upwards with the Cold Shoe mount at the top of the plate.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly screw the captive M4 screw through to the Top Plate – the locating pins will help ensure a flush fit.
Side Rib to Base Mount
1. Align the M4 screw and locating pins at the bottom of your C80 Side Rib with the corresponding thread on the base mount.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly screw the captive M4 screw through both components.
The Canon C80 Side Rib is designed for use with the Canon C80 – mounting to our dedicated Top Plate – however, it can also be used with our Canon C70 kits as well. C80 users will require:
