Description
The Canon C70 and C80 Riser for LeftField Mini sets the camera to the correct height for the 15mm LWS rod standard on the LeftField Mini Baseplate.
Mounting via four M4 screws, the Riser features a captive 1/4″ and 3/8” screw making it compatible with both the Canon C70 and the C80.
- 15mm LWS Standard – The Riser sets the C70 or C80 to the correct height for 15mm LWS rigging.
- Dual Compatibility – The captive screws mean that the Riser is compatible with the C70 and C80.
- Side Rib Support – Attach the Canon C80 Side Rib via the dedicated mounting point.
- Anti-Twist Front Lip – The removeable front lip prevents the C70 from twisting.
- Clean Installation – The Riser installs easily to the LeftField Mini Baseplate with just four M4 screws.
The Canon C70 and C80 Riser for LeftField Mini comes with all required screws. You will require a 4mm Hex Key and a flathead screwdriver to install the Riser, a 3mm Hex Key for the Side Rib and a 2.5mm Hex Key for the Riser’s front lip.
1. Align the Riser in the LeftField Mini’s central channel – the “G” logo should be at the rear of the Baseplate and the Riser should sit squarely in the centre of the Baseplate.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to screw the M4 screws of the Riser into place.
1. Align the captive 1/4" and 3/8” screws with the threads on the base of the Canon C80.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to tightly screw them into place.
1. Align the two screws of the front lip with their corresponding slots on the front of the Riser.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to tightly screw the front lip in place.
Align the captive 3/8” screw with the thread on the base of the Canon C80.
1. Use a flathead screwdriver to tightly screw the two together.
1. First, install the C80 Top Plate to the camera and lightly loosen the M4 screws of the Riser, for adjustment.
2. Align the Side Rib’s M4 screws with the mounts on the Top Plate and Riser.
3. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tighten the Side Rib into place.
4. Tighten the M4 screws of the Riser back into the Baseplate.
1. First, install the C70 Top Plate to the camera and lightly loosen the M4 screws of the Riser, for adjustment.
2. Align the Side Plate’s three M4 screws with the mounts on the Top Plate and Riser.
3. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tighten the Side Plate into place.
4. Tighten the M4 screws of the Riser back into the Baseplate.
Riser to LeftField Mini Baseplate

Front Lip to Riser
1. Align the two screws of the front lip with their corresponding slots on the front of the Riser.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to tightly screw the front lip in place.
Riser to Canon C70
Align the captive 3/8” screw with the thread on the base of the Canon C80.
1. Use a flathead screwdriver to tightly screw the two together.
C80 Side Rib to Riser
1. First, install the C80 Top Plate to the camera and lightly loosen the M4 screws of the Riser, for adjustment.
2. Align the Side Rib’s M4 screws with the mounts on the Top Plate and Riser.
3. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tighten the Side Rib into place.
4. Tighten the M4 screws of the Riser back into the Baseplate.
C70 Side Plate to Riser
1. First, install the C70 Top Plate to the camera and lightly loosen the M4 screws of the Riser, for adjustment.
2. Align the Side Plate’s three M4 screws with the mounts on the Top Plate and Riser.
3. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tighten the Side Plate into place.
4. Tighten the M4 screws of the Riser back into the Baseplate.
The Canon C70 and C80 Riser for LeftField Mini is designed to bridge the LeftField Mini Baseplate with the Canon C70 or C80. It is compatible with both cameras, along with accessories for both such as the Canon C80 Side Rib or the Canon C70 Side Plate.
Combined with the LeftField Mini Baseplate, the Riser sets the cameras’ optical centre to the standard 15mm LWS height.
