When only the best will do, the Advanced Cage Kit for Nikon ZR delivers. Assemble this low-profile cage to give yourself rigging freedom, without blocking the functionality of your camera setup – with full access to the ZR’s buttons and inputs. The optional Hand Grip provides comfort for going handheld, whilst external monitors can keep a steady connection via the cable clamp.

Quick-Release Convenience
Whether you’re setting up for stills or capturing cinematic B-roll, versatility is key. The included ZR Bottom Plate comes with two industry-standard mounts: a built-in Arca dovetail, and a QD socket. This means that you can sling the camera round your neck with a strap, or clip it into place on a tripod. Whatever the case, you’ll be able to speedily set up and pack down.
Low-Profile, High-Quality
The Advanced Cage Kit is designed to match the shape of the Nikon ZR, making it a convenient and comfortable addition to your rig. The whole cage is made from CNC-machined aluminium: making it rigid and reliable for years to come. With a design contouring to the ZR’s shape, and an anti-twist lip on the front of the Bottom Plate, your cage will keep everything clean.
Gripping Filmmaking
For a more relaxed shoot – where the shot list is mostly handheld – we’ve developed a clean and simple Nikon ZR Cage Hand Grip. Made from a blend of rubber and silicone and mounting to the front of your cage, the Grip strikes a balance between comfort and rigidity. Even the largest of hands or the daintiest of grips will be able to find purchase: meaning you can focus on shooting rather than the feeling of metal digging into your palm.
Full Functionality
The Nikon ZR Cage keeps access to as much of the ZR inputs as possible - but where it needs cover something up, it gives you an alternative. Whether that’s adding additional camera strap loops or adding spring-loaded function buttons to the cage; you’ll be able to shoot without compromise. For outgoing cables, we’ve got a two-in-one HDMI and USB-C Clamp.
A Clean Cage
As for what you’ll actually use the Advanced Cage Kit for, there’s plenty of options. You can fit your ZR with a range of accessories via the 1/4" and 3/8” screw threads; as well as a Cold Shoe mount and M4 points. The bolt-on threads feature both ARRI standard and non-standard anti-twist pin patterns, giving you broader compatibility options with third-party gear.#

The Advanced Cage Kit for Nikon ZR comes with all required screws and components. You will require your own 2.5mm and 3mm Hex Key to install all components.
Bottom Plate to Camera
1. Align the 1/4" screw on the base of the Bottom Plate with the thread on the base of the ZR – the lip with the “Bright Tangerine” logo should be facing forward underneath the lens mount.
2. Use the included flathead screwdriver to install it.
Cage to Camera
1. Align the threads on top of the Side Grip with the screw threads on the Top Plate, and insert the two countersunk M3 screws into place – with the screw head facing inwards. Use a 2mm Hex Key to secure the two together.
2. Align the Cage with the screw threads on the Bottom Plate and with the strap points on the camera body. Insert the M3 screws into the Bottom Plate and use a 2.5mm Hex Key to secure the Cage to the Bottom Plate.
3. Align the Cage on the ZR camera body, and insert the camera strap points to the matching threads on either side. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to screw them into place.
HDMI & USB-C Clamp to Cage
1. Align the clamp with the HDMI and USB-C port, and use a 3mm Hex Key to loosely screw the Clamp into the Bottom Plate.
2. Insert HDMI and/or USB-C cables into their respective slots, threading them through the clamp’s open channel.
3. Align the left side of the cables with the left side of the Clamp, and fully secure the Clamp to the Bottom Plate.
4. Use the thumbscrews to tighten the Clamp on the HDMI and USB-C cables, respectively.
Hand Grip to Cage
1. Align the two 3/8” screws with corresponding threads on the Nikon ZR Cage.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to securely screw the Hand Grip in place.
Bottom Plate to Camera
1. Align the 1/4" screw on the base of the Bottom Plate with the thread on the base of the ZR – the lip with the “Bright Tangerine” logo should be facing forward underneath the lens mount.
