Description
The 1/4"-20 to QD Adaptor is a convenient time saver for your camera bag: converting any 1/4" bolt-on thread into a Quick-Detach socket: ideal for straps or slings.
If you’re putting the “run” back in “run-and-gun”, you’ll want a rig that can keep up. Our 1/4"-20 to QD Adaptor converts any of your rig’s 1/4" threads into QD sockets, for speedy strap setup. Sling your camera over your shoulder, then adjust or detach as needed, all in seconds.

Strapped In
The Adaptor slots into any 1/4" screw thread, with both ARRI standard and non-standard anti-twist pin threads – making it compatible with near enough any rig. This makes it ideal if your existing cage doesn’t have a QD socket built-in, or if the positioning just isn’t quite right.
FX5 Fixture
Your dating apps aren’t the only thing with a profile match. If you’re using our Sony FX5 range, in particular our Right Side Plate, the QD Adaptor can slot into the dedicated mounting point – lining up perfectly with the built-in QDs on our Top Plates. If you’re looking to balance your FX5 for daily carrying, this minimises the literal pain in the neck.

The 1/4"-20 to QD Adaptor comes as a standalone unit – you’ll need your own 3mm Hex Key in order to install it.
1. Align the 1/4” screw with a corresponding thread on your setup – ensuring the anti-twist pins are correctly placed or stowed.

The 1/4"-20 to QD Adaptor can be used with any standard 1/4" screw thread, and standard QD straps. When mounted to the Sony FX5 Right Side Plate and used with the Sony FX5 NATO Top Plate or Corner Top Plate, the Adaptor matches the built-in QD sockets on the Top Plates.
