Quality, precision, and speed… and that’s before you even start shooting. The Halo plus an OpenRig™ Rail is the ultimate shooting system: letting you mount any camera, anywhere. Rig the Halo with all manner of accessories, or keep things tidy – we provide the options, but the choices are yours.
Easy Rigging
From ARRI to Z Cam, the Halo gives you as many options for rigging as there are unpaid invoices on your hard drive. There are 1/4" and 3/8” screw threads, each with anti-twist points. There are integrated NATO rails on the top and sides. There are QD sockets, Cold Shoe mounts, MAP M4 points. If you’re wondering “will the Halo work with this?”, the answer is yes every time.
No Gatekeeping
AC dropped out at the last minute? With the Halo, you don’t need to painstakingly rehash all the little quirks of your rig from camera prep. You don’t need to carry around a dozen Hex Keys and remember exactly what order to mount the different parts of your cage: just clip it onto the OpenRig™’s NATO rails and get back to shooting.
Camera-Agnostic
Your camera is one of the most expensive things you own (or rent). Avoid putting strain on it with the Halo: rig the cage, not the camera. The ultra-strong design of the Halo can take the weight of the bulkiest accessories without breaking a sweat, reducing the stress on your camera body – and you.
Strike a Balance
There’s no wrong answers with rigging the Halo: when we debuted the original, we found there were plenty of unconventional ways filmmakers found to position it. With the OpenRig™, those possibilities have been expanded. Mount the Halo to the front or back, forwards or backwards-facing – the Halo has a safety catch that catches on the OpenRig™’s rails. Find the right position, then use the clamp lever to lock the Halo in place.
No Rods Required
15mm rods are a staple of the industry, but not every rig needs them. This Halo variant mounts to the OpenRig™’s dual NATO rails, keeping the footprint of your rig small. If you’re not concerned about 15mm LWS, BUD or any of those other acronyms, the Halo gives you a simple shooting solution.

The Halo ships fully assembled for instant use, but can be disassembled for storage by detaching the M4 screws at the four corners.
