Alongside dedicated C400 accessories, the Create Advanced Kit features components for our Create range: designed to offer maximum versatility for any camera setup. The Create Baseplate provides convenient rod support and a multi-standard mount for DJI, Arca or Manfrotto dovetails.
Multi-Standard Dovetail
Our Universal Dovetail mounts to any Manfrotto tripod or DJI RS gimbal plate, allowing you to seamlessly transition from sticks to gimbal shooting in seconds. Use the sliding inner channel of the dovetail to optimally balance your rig, making it ideal for heavier setups.
Top Performance
The C400 Advanced Kit features our improved C400 Top Plate: a modular unit that features a range of accessory mounts including 1/4″, 3/8”, NATO, MAP M4, QD sockets and 15mm rod support. Coupled with the included Filler Piece which expands the rigging options, you can create a completely level plate across the top of the C400, ideal for complex setups. Even fully assembled, the Top Plate maintains full access to the C400 multifunction shoe mount.
Easy Handling
In addition, the included 1/4″-20 Create Top Handle not only gives you a convenient carrying handle, but also more accessory mounting options. With 1/4″, 3/8”, QD sockets and a Cold Shoe mount; you can add to your rig with ease – or just comfortably carry your C400.
Quick-Release Functionality
For quick adjustment or removing of your C400 LCD monitor, our NATO Monitor Hinge is the ultimate choice. Mounting to the included 15mm NATO Rail, you can fully articulate the monitor and reposition it however you need with pan and tilt adjustment and 140mm of sliding travel offered by the rail. If you want to keep your rig slim, however, you can simply remove the longer NATO rail and mount the LCD from the included NATO Cheese Stick.

The Create Advanced Kit is built to the highest standards of durability and versatility. The primary material is aerospace-grade aluminium, which has been hard-anodised for extra strength whilst also being lightweight. The Universal Dovetail and Top Handle feature rubber inlays for added grip, and the included Drumstix Support Rods are made from structural alloy that can be extended with compatible Rod Joiners.

Instructions/Assembly
The Create Canon C400 Advanced Kit comes with all required screws and mounts. You will need a 2.5mm, 3mm and 4mm Hex Key in order to correctly mount the Kit, along with a flathead screwdriver.
Top Plate to Camera
1. Line up the four screws on the left and/or right brackets with their corresponding mounting points on the C400.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to tightly attach them to the camera.
Rod Console to Top Plate
1. Align the front 15mm rod console pins with the matching threads on the left & right plates in the orientation you require.
2. Secure the rod console to the plates using the 2.5mm Hex Key.
Cheese Stick to Adaptor
1. Insert the two M4 screws into the corresponding threads on the Cheese Stick, aligning them with the matching holes on the adapter.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly fasten the cheese stick to the Adaptor, ensuring a secure fit.
Adaptor to Top Plate
1. Align the 1/4″ screw thread and locating pins with a corresponding thread on either the left or the right of the C400 Top Plate.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly secure the two in place.
Camera to Universal Dovetail
1. Align the captive screw with the corresponding thread on the base of your C400.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to tighten the screw into place.
Dovetail to Create Baseplate
1. Slide the Universal Dovetail into the rear of the Create Baseplate.
2. Tighten the clamp using the winged lever.
Rod Mounting Bracket to MAP M4 Points
1. Align the captive M4 screws of the Rod Bracket to corresponding MAP M4 points on a camera plate.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Rod Bracket to the mounting point.
15mm Rod to Rod Mounting Bracket
1. Loosen the 15mm rod clamp using the winged-lever clamp.
2. Insert a 15mm rod.
3. Tighten the winged-lever clamp to secure the rod in place.
NATO Rail to 15mm Rod
1. Rotate the winged-lever clamp to loosen the bracket.
2. Slide the NATO rail rod mount onto the 15mm rod and tighten the rod bracket.
Monitor Hinge to NATO Rail
1. Slide the NATO clamp onto the end of the 15mm NATO rail until in the optimal position.
2. Turn the clamp until the hinge is secured.
Monitor Block to Monitor
1. Align the captive 1/4″-20 screw of the Monitor Block with the thread on the Canon LCD Monitor
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to screw the two together.
Monitor Block to Hinge
1. Align the Monitor Block’s thread and locating pins with the Monitor Hinge.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to screw the Hinge to the Block.

The Create Canon C400 Advanced Kit is designed to be used with the Canon C400; with our purpose-built Top Plate, Filler Piece and Monitor Hinge all included. Other accessories use industry-standard mounting options and can be used with other compatible cameras.
