With the Create Baseplate Kit, you can form a sturdy and practical mount base for any camera. Ideal for attaching to jibs, sliders or any 1/4″ or 3/8” mount; the Baseplate is multi-standard for receiving Arca, DJI or Manfrotto plates.
Featuring a pair of Drumstix rods for mounting additional accessories, the Create Baseplate is the perfect foundation for your rig.

Coming with dual 9” support rods, the Create Baseplate Kit gives you everything you need to set your camera up from any mount.
Multi-Standard Dovetail
The Create Baseplate is a multipurpose unit, capable of safely holding dovetail plates in Arca, DJI and Manfrotto standards. Designed as a mount for our Universal Dovetail, the multiple functions allow you to use the Create Baseplate with a wide range of alternative plates.
15mm LWS Support
Support rods are essential for mounting follow-focus wheels, handgrips and matte boxes. The Create Baseplate Kit comes with two 9” Drumstix support rods, which can be used with the baseplate at either end. The dual rod brackets are in the LWS standard width spacing: with independently-locking brackets on the front and back of each. This means that rods can be individually inserted into either end, for greater versatility with smaller support rods.
Extendable Rods
The included structural alloy rods feature M12 threads at each ends, allowing for easy and secure connections with the Threaded Rod Joiner. This enables you to extend rods seamlessly, creating longer configurations without gaps. The smooth join ensures accessories can slide over connections effortlessly.

Instructions/Assembly
Universal/Manfrotto Dovetail to Create Baseplate
1. Slide the Universal Dovetail into the rear of the Create Baseplate.
2. Tighten the clamp using the winged lever.
Arca Dovetail to Create Baseplate
1. Slide the Arca dovetail into the front of the Create Baseplate.
2. Tighten the clamp using the winged lever.
Universal/DJI Dovetail to Create Baseplate
1. Slide the dovetail into the front of the Create Baseplate.
2. Tighten the clamp using the winged lever.
Support Rods to Create Baseplate
1. Insert the Support Rods into the open brackets of the Baseplate.
2. When positioned, tightly secure them in place with the winged-lever clamp on either side.
Reconfiguring Safety Stops
1. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the safety stop from its slot.
2. Place the safety stop in the alternate mounting point.
Compatibility
The Create Baseplate Kit mounts to any standard 1/4″ or 3/8” screw via the threads on its base, making it compatible with a wide range of mounting points and dovetails. The Baseplate itself features two independent 15mm rod brackets, spaced at the standard 15mm LWS width. The top of the Create Baseplate is also compatible with other DJI, Manfrotto and Arca dovetail plates. Arca dovetail plates must be a minimum of 8.7mm in height for clearance above the Baseplate.
The Drumstix 15mm Structural Alloy rods have threaded ends, allowing them to be extended with other Drumstix rods with a connecting Rod Joiner.
