Description
Add quick-release convenience to your Universal Dovetail with the Arca Receiver. Accommodating any standard Arca plate, the Receiver is ideal for quickly making adjustments to your camera without cumbersome screws. The removeable safety stop and stainless steel locking lever ensure that your plates don’t come loose.
Using a quick-release system for seamless plate insertion, the Arca Receiver is easy to use and ideal for low-profile rigs.
Any Arca Plate
The Arca Receiver allows you to use any standard-issue Arca plate: conveniently mounting it onto your Universal Dovetail. This means you can quickly release your camera from the dovetail in moments, and fine-tune the camera body without changing the rig.
Universal Dovetail Mount
The base of the Arca Receiver has two 1/4”-20 threads, which can be used with the captive screws of the Universal Dovetail. Once installed, the Receiver offers 77mm of sliding travel, making it easier to balance the camera on tripods or gimbals. The keyed surface also means that the Receiver sits straight on the dovetail, maximising compatibility.
Locked In
Once you’ve added your compatible Arca plate or Arca Riser, there are two safety mechanisms to ensure that your camera remains in place. A built-in safety stop prevents the plate from coming loose once installed, and the locking lever reinforces that protection. This means that your setup is secure when you need it to be, but easy to unlock when you don’t.
Ideal for Smaller Cameras
On smaller cameras, where the distance from the camera’s lens mount and the camera base is limited, you can encounter mounting issues – especially with larger lenses. The Arca Receiver-Riser combination gives you clearance from the Universal Dovetail, preventing unwanted collisions and enabling you to use the dovetail. This also ensures compatibility with similar camera accessories such as the Halo Universal Camera Cage.
Instructions/Assembly
Arca Receiver to Universal Dovetail
1. Align the Receiver in the central channel of the Universal Dovetail and insert the two 1/4″-20 screws.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver secure the two together.
Arca Riser to Receiver
1. Lower your Arca Plate into place onto the Receiver.
2. When clicked into place with the safety stops, secure with the locking lever.
