Sliding Top Handle

Description

Build up your RED rig with the Sliding Top Handle: ideal for cameras like the RED KOMODO, KOMODO-X or V-RAPTOR. Attaching via two 1/4″-20 screws, the Top Handle provides a comfortable and convenient grip. You can precisely adjust the positioning of the handle itself using the top bracket, sliding the Top Handle forwards and backwards for optimal balance – the handle features safety buttons at either end to prevent it falling out.

Made from lightweight aluminium for a robust and durable build, the Sliding Top Handle gives you plenty of options for customisation.

Versatile Design

The Sliding Top Handle mounts securely via two 1/4″ screws, but the top bracket allows for sliding travel of the handlebar itself. This means you can reverse the handle on its mount or simply rebalance it in moments, with the winged-lever clamp and safety stops ensuring the handle doesn’t fall off mid-take.

Customise Without Compromise

You can also build on the Sliding Top Handle – literally. The handle is fully compatible with our range of Handle Extensions, allowing you to create a handle design for any shooting scenario. In addition, the Top Handle boasts a range of 1/4″ and 3/8″ anti-twist screw threads – along with a cold shoe mount and quick-detach (QD) sockets.

RED Rigging Options

Alongside these more universal accessory mounts, the Sliding Top Handle also has features purpose-built for our RED cameras. The side threads are perfectly positioned to accommodate our Monitor Mount for DSMC3 RED Touch bracket, allowing you to conveniently mount the monitor from the end of your top handle. Additionally, it can be combined with our Top Bar Bracket for added rod support for lens motors or other accessories.

The Sliding Top Handle is made from anodised aluminium, which provides a practical balance of strength and weight. Wear and corrosion-resistant, the Top Handle is light enough for handheld run-and-gun rigs but sturdy enough to build on with its array of accessory threads.

Instructions/Assembly

To install the handle, align the 1/4″ threads of the Top Handle with two 1/4″ threads on a corresponding top plate or bracket. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tightly attach the two included 1/4″ screws

Compatibility

The Sliding Top Handle mounts via two 1/4″ screw threads, spaced 50mm apart. This makes it compatible with a range of top plates and mounting points.
