The LeftField 3 Expert Kit for RED KOMODO and RED KOMODO-X is our best camera cage for RED rigs, offering a comprehensive range of camera accessories and full compatibility with 15mm LWS and ARRI dovetail standards. Our LeftField Baseplate allows you to quickly transition from dovetails in moments.
Each kit comes with the Side Plates, Top Plate, NATO Top Handle, Top Bar Bracket, LeftField 3 15mm LWS Baseplate (DJI RS 4 & RS 3) & a set of two 15mm (12” length) Sterling Titanium Drumstix Rods.

Using our Open•UP system, the kit provides easy mounting and dismounting from any ARRI standard dovetail. The Expert Kit also provides a range of purpose-built accessories for the KOMODO range, allowing you to build up the camera with your own selection of components and tools.

LeftField 3 System
The core of the Expert Kit for RED KOMODO and KOMODO-X is our LeftField Baseplate. This employs our patented Open•UP mechanism for quick-release dovetail mounting. Fix your camera to any ARRI standard dovetail, and detach it in moments – the camera is secure when you need it and easily removed when you don’t.
15mm LWS Mounting
The LeftField Baseplate also conforms to the 15mm LWS rod standard. An industry-standard configuration, this allows you to add support rods to your setup, to take the weight of some heavier or bulkier components. Add follow-focus motors, matte boxes and more to your setup without hassle. The Expert Kit also comes with two 12″ Drumstix support rods,

The LeftField Expert Kit is designed for use with the DJI RS 3 and RS 4 gimbal systems, with a purpose-built dovetail and riser. This means that you can smoothly transition from tripod to gimbal use with the KOMODO or KOMODO-X. No matter the shooting scenario, the Expert Kit has you covered.
Limitless Customisation Options
For additional accessory options, the LeftField Expert Kit comes with accessory mounting threads in a range of industry standards. Each 1/4″ and 3/8″ threaded mount is fitted with stainless steel Helicoil inserts for long-lasting performance, and you can quickly slot components to the KOMODO or KOMODO-X via NATO rails on the top and sides. There are also Quick-Detach (QD) sockets for easy mounting of straps or slings.
Top-Tier Performance
For the top of your RED KOMODO or KOMODO-X, the LeftField Expert Kit provides a Top Handle and Top Bar Bracket. Mounted easily via the NATO rail, the top handle adds further mounting possibilities, along with being fully compatible with our Master Extension Set. The Top Bar Bracket mounts to the Top Handle, and adds two more 15mm rod brackets – perfect for EVF mounts or lens motors.

Compatibility
The LeftField 3 Expert Kit for RED KOMODO and KOMODO-X is compatible with both listed RED cameras: the RED KOMODO and RED KOMODO-X. Some accessories such as the Top Plate and Side Plates, are purpose-built for these cameras and therefore cannot be used with others. Some included accessories, such as the NATO Top Handle and Top Bar Bracket, are more universally compatible.
