Create Top Handle (1/4″-20)

Description

Part of our Create range, this Top Handle provides nearly limitless customisation options for almost any camera body. Installed via two captive screws, the top handle is an easy addition to your rig: providing a stable option for both rigging and transportation.

From there, you can build out the handle itself with extensions. Add a monitor mount using the cold shoe, or use the 1/4” and 3/8” holes to add further accessories to the top of your camera.

Made from anodised aluminium with a rubber inlay on the grip, this top handle is a comfortable and convenient accessory for camera builds of any complexity.

Cold Shoe Mount

Alongside screw-in threads, the top handle also provides a cold shoe – ideal for supporting monitor swivel mounts, microphones or wireless receivers.

Highly Customisable

With MAP M4 points as well as the 1/4” and 3/8” anti-twist threads, this top handle provides huge scope for configuring your camera rig. There is also a mounting point on the base of the top handle for additional accessories such as our B4003.1022 – Top Bar Bracket.

Hassle-Free Installation

The two captive 1/4”-20 screws on the top handle, spaced 50mm apart, provide a secure mounting point compatible with most top plates. Installation is straightforward, requiring only a standard 4mm hex key. Once mounted, the top handle sits firmly on your rig, ensuring stability and allowing you to shoot with confidence.

Get a Grip

The handle has a rubber inlay, which cushions the handle in your hand for a more secure grip. Especially for hefty rigs or low-angle shots, this grip ensures balance and firmness.

Instructions/Assembly

The Create Top Handle comes with two captive screws for mounting and requires no additional assembly. Installing the handle requires a 4mm Hex Key.

1. To install the top handle to a mount, align the two 1/4”-20 screws with corresponding threads on your top plate.

2. Using a 4mm hex key, alternately tighten each screw until the top handle is securely fastened to the plate.
