Description
Our LeftField 3 Advanced Kit for the RED V-RAPTOR provides seamless compatibility between your RED rig and any mounting point you can imagine. Our Open•UP quick-release mechanism allows you to swiftly and securely mount your camera to any ARRI dovetail, whilst the Baseplate supports 15mm LWS setups with dedicated rod brackets. From there, you can customise your V-RAPTOR for any shooting scenario with an array of accessory mounting options.

LeftField 3 Dovetail
At the core of the LeftField 3 Baseplate is the dovetail clamp, which uses our Open•UP for quick-release capabilities. This means that your camera is secured in place when you need it, but easily released when you don’t with the flick of a clamp switch. The LeftField Baseplate can mount to any ARRI-standard dovetail, even those out of tolerance.
15mm LWS Compatibility
The LeftField Baseplate also adds the option to mount support rods in the 15mm LWS configuration; for the additional mounting of follow-focus motors, matte boxes and more. If you need to adjust the weight distribution of your rig, then this provides a great alternative to mounting directly to your camera or lens – preventing damage to either.
Customise Without Compromise
The LeftField 3 Advanced Kit is purpose-built for RED V-RAPTOR compatibility, with accessories fitting discreetly to the camera body. The V-RAPTOR Side Plates sit on the side of the camera and provides 1/4″ and 3/8″ screw threads, along with ARRI-standard rosettes for mounting handgrips or other accessories. Our dedicated monitor mount for the DSMC3 RED Touch slots onto the top handle at any angle (you’ll need a flathead screwdriver to move the locating pins), giving you a secure mounting point.
Convenience on All Sides
Speaking of the top handle, it and the dedicated top plate give you even more rigging options for your V-RAPTOR. The Top Plate has a miniature dovetail of its own, meaning that you can slide or entirely remove the central element for quick accessory mounting. Likewise, the Sliding Top Handle allows you to adjust the individual positioning of your handle, and is fully compatible with our Master Handle Extension Set.
Built to Last
For long-lasting performance, each part of the LeftField Advanced Kit is designed and engineered to the highest quality standards. Made from anodised aluminium, each component is resistant to wear and corrosion; and the internals of the screw threads are fitted with stainless steel Helicoil inserts to prevent stripping or binding. The ARRI rosettes are CNC-milled for greater grip for your handgrips.

The LeftField 3 Advanced Kit for RED V-RAPTOR is designed to work with the V-RAPTOR camera system; with the Baseplate Riser, Top Plate and Side Plates being designed specifically for that camera body.
The Baseplate is designed to mount to any standard ARRI dovetail, along with supporting 15mm LWS rods via a dedicated bracket.
