Short Create Top Handle (NATO)

Description

Add to your rig with minimal bulk with the Short Create Top Handle, which offers compact convenience for your rig. Mounting via a sideways NATO clamp – meaning you have full control over your positioning – you can use the Top Handle to customise your camera setup. With a range of accessory mounting options including 1/4″, 3/8”, MAP M4 and Cold Shoe; you can use the Top Handle to reorganise your rig for a cleaner build.

Designed for use in smaller camera setups, the Short Create Top Handle is a discreet yet durable option for carrying your camera.

Compact Design

The Short Create Top Handle is shorter both in height and in length (126mm long and 63mm high), creating a sleeker camera setup. This means that it sits lower to its mounting point for a smaller overall footprint for your rig. It can still be extended with our range of Master Handle Extensions, if needed.

NATO Base

The Short Create Top Handle Mounts via a NATO clamp, positioned at a 90-degree angle to allow sideways travel on any standard NATO rail. Simply lock the clamp in place when you’re happy with the positioning. The Top Handle’s NATO clamp has a spring-loaded mechanism that offers tactile feedback when it is positioned on the cage’s exact centre – for optimal balance.

Complete Customisation

To help declutter your rig, use the Short Create Top Handle to mount some of your accessories. The sides and top are lined with 1/4″ and 3/8” screw threads, and the front Handle Extension slots have MAP M4 points for expanded customisation. There is also a QD socket and Cold Shoe mount for attaching more specific accessories such as microphones or straps.

Practical and Comfortable

A Top Handle is a convenient point to carry your camera from, and though our Short Create Top Handle is smaller, it still boasts all the functionality you’ll need. A rubber inlay gives you extra grip, and there is a dedicated slot on the rear of the handle to add our Bar Bracket Spacer: adding some extra hand room when using the Top Handle with our Top Bar Bracket and Rod Mount.

Reversible

In some cases, you may want to reverse the NATO clamp – such as on our Canon C80 Top Plate where the central alignment is flipped. Simply unscrew the two Torx (T20) screws to loosen the clamp, flip the NATO clamp, and replace the screws. This also allows you to mount the Top Handle backwards whilst still having the tactile central alignment feature.

Lightweight and Durable

The Short Top Handle is made from lightweight aluminium, hard-anodised for durability. This makes it resistant to wear-and-tear and corrosion, for long-lasting use. The Top Handle will stay a part of your camera setup for a long time.

Instructions/Assembly

Top Handle to NATO Rail

1. Slide the NATO clamp onto a corresponding NATO rail – if the rail has a central socket, you will hear the spring-loaded balls click into place when the handle is centred.

2. Use the lever clamp to tighten the Top Handle into place.

Reversing the NATO Clamp

1. Loosen the two Torx (T20) screws on the NATO clamp base.

2. Twist the NATO Clamp until the lever clamp is on the outside (Note: you will be unable to use the Bar Bracket Spacer with this configuration).

3. Reseal the screws.

Compatibility

The Short Create Top Handle mounts to any standard NATO rail, and can be used with a range of camera accessories. It also has dedicated slots for our Bar Bracket Spacer.
