Compatible with Canon LCD Monitors, the Monitor Hinge mounts to any standard NATO rail.

NATO Compatibility

The NATO rail is one of the most convenient means of attaching and detaching camera accessories, allowing sliding travel to optimise monitor placement. This means that you have plenty of options for mounting the NATO rail, including our 15mm NATO Rail or NATO Cheese Stick.

Independent Locks for Pan and Tilt

The hinge includes independent locks for both pan and tilt, enabling faster adjustments while ensuring the monitor remains stable and precisely positioned. This also means that you can lock-off one axis whilst maintaining articulation on the other. There is a spring-loaded safety stop in the mechanism that helps you lock the Monitor Hinge in the home position.

Easily Stowed

For safe transport, the hinge allows you to rotate the monitor inward, tucking it within the rig. A hard stop means that the monitor won’t hit the camera body – with a ball indent providing haptic feedback. This protective feature helps shield the monitor from impact during transit, ensuring that your monitor is secure and ready for your next shoot.

Locked Horizon

The hinge is designed to maintain a steady horizon, preventing unwanted shifts or axis drift that could impact your framing. With this stability, you can focus on capturing the perfect shot without frequent adjustments.

Convenient Drag Adjustment

For refining resistance, the Monitor Hinge allows you to add extra friction simply by slightly loosening the respective lever clamps. If you find you want to tilt your monitor mid-shoot, then simply leave the tilt lever slightly loose – the level of resistance is based on how loose you leave the lever.

Designed for Canon LCD Monitors

With a dedicated mounting block for the Canon LCD monitor, the monitor hinge provides stability for customising your Canon camera. The block helps to ensure correct installation, with locating pin holes that align with the monitor for anti-twist.

Instructions/Assembly

The NATO monitor hinge ships assembled as a standalone unit, including the required screws.

You will require a 3mm and a 4mm Hex Key in order to install the Monitor Hinge.

Monitor Block to Monitor

1. Align the captive 1/4″-20 screw of the Monitor Block with the thread on the Canon LCD Monitor

2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to screw the two together.

Monitor Block to Hinge

1. Align the Monitor Block’s thread and locating pins with the Monitor Hinge.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to screw the Hinge to the Block.
