Don’t compromise on size: with the Left Side Plate for the Sony VENICE Extension System Mini, you have access to in-depth customisation options without affecting the overall size and weight of the VENICE Extension. Featuring a range of MAP M4, 1/4″ and 3/8” screw threads; the Left Side Plate mounts cleanly to the camera extension block without blocking the camera’s vents.

With vertical mounting capabilities built into the plate, the Left Side Plate combines form and function for cinematic rigging capabilities.

Customise with Ease

Our Left Side Plate offers a range of mounting options for Sony shooters. The plate features an array of 1/4″ and 3/8” screw threads, with locating pin holes to help secure accessories in place. There are also MAP M4 points bordering the Side Plate and on the top (though these aren’t at the standard 20mm vertical distance). For vertical shooting, a row of screw threads are aligned with the VENICE Extension’s sensor, for convenient content creation. There is also a film plane hook on the top of the Side Plate.

A Slim Setup

The Sony VENICE Extension System Mini is valued for its incredibly compact form factor: allowing you to attach it to the VENICE 2 for extra manoeuvrability on confined shoots. Left Side Plate keeps your build small: matching the VENICE Extension Mini’s slim body. The vents on the Extension Mini’s body aren’t obstructed, allowing for smooth airflow.

Simple Installation

The Left Side Plate installs simply via two 1/4″ screws. All it takes is a few turns of a 4mm Hex Key to get your VENICE Extension ready for rigging. The screws are captive, meaning that they won’t be lost in between shoot days and won’t be confused with mounting points for accessories.

Instructions/Assembly

The Left Side Plate for Sony Venice Extension System Mini comes with all required screws, but you will need your own 4mm Hex Key in order to install it.

1. Align the Side Plate with the left-hand side of the Sony VENICE Extension, with the 1/4″ screws aligned and the text facing upwards.

2. Use a 4mm Hex Key in order to tightly secure the Side Plate in place.

Compatibility

The Left Side Plate for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini is designed to work with the compact cinema camera block alone. The range of 1/4″, 3/8” and MAP M4 points provide compatibility with a range of third-party accessories such as hand grips, wireless transmitters and monitor mounts.
