The bespoke resin matrix design in the shoulder pad contours to your muscles, reducing strain. With the Universal BUD Plate, you can smoothly attach any camera to the shoulder rig in seconds. For on-the-fly adjustments to the balance, the shoulder pad can also slide forwards and backwards as well as side-to-side.

The Shoulder Rig for Every Body

With the Two-Axis KASBAH Ātman Shoulder Rig Kit, you can quickly and smoothly rebalance your camera, or the shoulder rig as a whole. The shoulder pad slides forwards and backwards and side-to-side, allowing you to fine-tune the weight on your shoulder. For fine-tuning the rest of your setup, you can slide the handgrip brackets further or closer to your on the support rods, or individually adjust the position of the handgrips. Shift the entire camera via the Universal BUD Plate, moving your entire rig along the dovetail.

Deceptively Soft

The KASBAH Ātman employs a unique composite material in the shoulder pad, manufactured by Carbon™. Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) involves 3D printing a unique resin structure in flexible resin, which gives the shoulder pad the distinctive metal-like look. Don’t be fooled: the pad contours to your shoulder muscles for superior comfort when shooting.

BUD Convenience

The KASBAH Ātman is built on a dovetail design: providing a quick-release mounting system for any camera setup. Paired with the Universal BUD Plate, you can quickly and smoothly transition your camera from the shoulder rig to a tripod, handheld, or any other compatible dovetail mount.

VCT-14 Design

If you want to cut out the middleman, you can also mount the entire KASBAH Ātman Shoulder Rig directly to a tripod. The KASBAH Ātman supports mounting to VCT-14 tripod plates, for clean and stable mounting. If you need to rest or reconfigure your shoulder rig, simply slide it into place.

End-to-End Support Rods

The KASBAH Ātman frame can be used with or without our Drumstix 15mm support rods, but they expand the possibilities for setting up your shoulder rig. The front and rear of the frame have support rod brackets, allowing you to extend the shoulder rig at the front and add battery packs or other components at the rear.

Precision-Engineered

The frame is primarily made from lightweight yet durable anodised aluminium, with CNC-machined stainless steel ARRI rosettes. Paired with the resin matrix in the hand grips and shoulder pad, and the KASBAH Ātman offers minimal weight but maximum comfort.

Instructions/Assembly

The KASBAH Ātman Shoulder Rig comes with all required components for a fully-formed shoulder rig. You will require a 3mm and 4mm Hex Key in order to correctly assemble the shoulder rig.

KASBAH Shoulder Pad to KASBAH Ātman Frame
1. Slide the Shoulder Pad onto the rear and click it into place with the clamp.
VCT-14 Mount to KASBAH Ātman Frame
1. Align the two VCT-14 components with the matching threads on the KASBAH frame base, using the locating pins for guidance.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to secure them in place.
Universal BUD Plate to KASBAH Ātman
1. Attach the Universal BUD Plate to the base of your camera setup.
2. Slide the camera into place and lock the dovetail clamp in place.

Compatibility

The KASBAH Ātman Shoulder Rig is a universal shoulder rig, accommodating any camera setup via the Universal BUD Plate. The shoulder rig supports 15mm LWS support rods at either end of its frame for added configuration options, and comes with a VCT-14 mounting kit for smooth tripod mounting.
