Featuring both our Universal BUD Plate for quick switching to Balanced Utility Dovetail (BUD) systems and our LeftField 3 Baseplate for quick release on standard ARRI dovetails, the Expert Cine Kit gives you freedom and functionality – no matter how complex the shot list.

Cine-matic Shooting
Designed for high-end filmmaking, the Expert Cine Kit offers a selection of rigging options for the URSA Cine. Rig up accessories via the dedicated Top Plate, which is covered in accessory mounting points without blocking the camera’s air vents. From standard 1/4″ and 3/8” anti-twist threads to QD sockets and MAP M4 points, there’s a place for anything with the Expert Cine Kit – and even if there isn’t, the accompanying Extension gives you even more rigging real-estate.

Instructions/Assembly
The Expert Cine Kit for Blackmagic URSA Cine comes with all required components and screws. You will require a 2.5mm, 3mm and 4mm Hex Key in order to install it.
BUD Plate to Camera
1. Align the 3/8” and 1/4″ screws in the BUD Plate with the threads on the URSA Cine’s base.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to secure the two together.
Top Plate to Camera
1. Align the three captive 1/4″ screws with the three slots on the Blackmagic URSA Cine.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Top Plate to the camera.
Top Plate Extension to Top Plate
1. Align the Top Plate Extension’s M4 screw with the thread marked “EXT” on the back-left or back-right of the Top Plate.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key in order to secure the Extension in place.
Handle to Plate
1. Align the two captive 3/8” screws with the corresponding slots on the Top Plate – the screws can slide to adjust.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to attach the handle to the plate.
Bar Bracket Spacer to Top Handle
1. Align the Spacer’s nub with the inlet on the Top Bar Bracket, aligning the screw threads.
2. Align the Top Handle on the other side, ensuring the Spacer is flush against both components.
3. Insert the two M4 x 25mm screws through all three components.
4. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tighten the screws, ensuring all three parts are secured.
Top Bar Bracket to Spacer
1. Align the M4 screws of the Top Bar Bracket and Rod Mount with the threads marked “15mm LWS” on the front of the handle.
2. Insert the two M4 x 25mm screws through all components.
3. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tighten the screws, ensuring all three parts are secured.
Compatibility
The Expert Cine Kit for Blackmagic URSA Cine is compatible with the URSA Cine 12K and 17K camera systems – but the compatibility for all components aside the Top Plate is universal. All cameras can use the Universal BUD Plate (though not all will be set to the 15mm LWS height) and the remaining accessories can be repurposed for other setups.
