Shoot without limits using our Canon C400 Monitor Mount Kit, which transforms the stock C400 LCD monitor into a fully-articulating setup. Installing simply to any two MAP M4 points, the Monitor Mount assembles our Tall 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket, 15mm NATO Rail, one of our 6” Structural Alloy Drumstix and a NATO Monitor Hinge.

Complete Convenience

The Monitor Mount Kit collects four individual components that when combined create a fully-articulating monitor mount option for the Canon C400. The NATO Monitor Hinge adds pan-and-tilt functionality for the monitor itself, whilst mounting to a 15mm NATO rail for 140mm of sliding travel. That in turn mounts to a 15mm rod for secure rotation. These multiple planes of movement mean that you are guaranteed to find the perfect position for your monitor.

Clean Installation

The mounting point of the Monitor Mount Kit is the Tall 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket, which is installed via captive screws to any two MAP M4 points. Though primarily designed to mount to the front of the C400 Top Plate 15mm rod console,  you can attach the setup from any equivalent mounting points.

Top Plate Clearance

If you do choose the default mounting point on top of the C400, you won’t have to worry about conflicts with any other parts of your rig. The Tall Rod Bracket adds clearance above the Top Plate’s rod console, avoiding a clash with front-facing rods or larger lenses.

Modular

For minimising your rig’s footprint, you can reduce or remove the different components for alternate mounting. For minimalist monitor mounting, the Monitor Hinge mounts to any standard NATO rail – such as on our NATO Cheese Stick.

Instructions/Assembly

The Canon C400 Monitor Mount Kit ships with all required screws and parts. You will require a 3mm and 4mm Hex Key.

Rod Mounting Bracket to MAP M4 Points

1. Align the captive M4 screws of the Rod Bracket to corresponding MAP M4 points on a camera plate.

2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Rod Bracket to the mounting point.

15mm Rod to Rod Mounting Bracket

1. Loosen the 15mm rod clamp using the winged-lever clamp.

2. Insert a 15mm rod.

3. Tighten the winged-lever clamp to secure the rod in place.

NATO Rail to 15mm Rod

1. Rotate the winged-lever clamp to loosen the bracket.

2. Slide the NATO rail rod mount onto the 15mm rod and tighten the rod bracket.

Monitor Hinge to NATO Rail

1. Slide the NATO clamp onto the end of the 15mm NATO rail until in the optimal position.

2. Turn the clamp until the hinge is secured.

Monitor Block to Monitor

1. Align the captive 1/4″-20 screw of the Monitor Block with the thread on the Canon LCD Monitor

2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to screw the two together.

Monitor Block to Hinge

1. Align the Monitor Block’s thread and locating pins with the Monitor Hinge.

2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to screw the Hinge to the Block.

Compatibility

The Canon C400 Monitor Mount Kit is designed for the Canon C400 LCD Monitor, with the dedicated NATO Monitor Hinge being shaped to the stock C400 monitor. However, all components use industry-standard mounting points for extended compatibility, allowing for modular use in other setups.

The Monitor Mount Kit is intended to mount to the Canon C400 Top Plate via two MAP M4 points.
