Turn your Blackmagic URSA Cine into a production powerhouse with our lightweight yet highly versatile Blackmagic URSA Cine Top Plate. The Top Plate features a range of accessory mounting options including 1/4″ and 3/8” screw threads; as well as QD sockets and MAP M4 points– all spread over a level plate carefully designed to avoid blocking the URSA Cine’s inputs and vents. And if that is still not enough freedom, the Top Plate comes with an Extension piece that can be used on either end.

Ideal for Blackmagic shooters of any skill level, the Top Plate helps you build out your URSA Cine rig with as much complexity as you need.

Deep Customisation Options

The Blackmagic URSA Cine Top Plate is designed to maximise the options available to filmmakers, with a huge range of rigging options. Standard-issue 1/4″ and 3/8” screw threads line the Top Plate, with dedicated locating pin slots to ensure a firm grip; as well as QD sockets and MAP M4 points for more specific accessorising. There is also an optional Front Rod Console for 15mm rods – perfectly positioned for lens motors or EVF mounts.

Built for the URSA Cine

Installed via three captive 1/4″ screws, the Top Plate mounts discreetly and cleanly to the top of your URSA Cine – without blocking any camera inputs or vents. You can also use the stock URSA Cine Top Handle with the Top Plate, thanks to a centrally-aligned array of 3/8” screw threads, though we also offer a set of dedicated mounts for 1/4″-20 Top Handles.

Extendable

If you find you need just a few more mounting points, the Top Plate Extension offers some for the back-left or back-right of your camera. Offering additional 1/4″, 3/8” and MAP M4 mounting threads; the Extension is a small but useful addition to your camera rig.

Instructions/Assembly

The Blackmagic URSA Cine Top Plate comes with all required screws and components. You will need a 2.5mm and 4mm Hex Key in order to correctly install it.

Top Plate to Camera

1. Align the three captive 1/4″ screws with the three slots on the Blackmagic URSA Cine.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Top Plate to the camera.

Top Plate Extension to Top Plate

1. Align the Top Plate Extension’s M4 screw with the thread marked “EXT” on the back-left or back-right of the Top Plate.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key in order to secure the Extension in place.

Rod Console to Top Plate

1. Align the front 15mm rod console M4 screws with the matching threads on the Top Plate in the orientation you require – either higher or lower from the camera.
2. Secure the rod console to the plates using the 2.5mm Hex Key.

The Blackmagic URSA Cine Top Plate is designed to work with the Blackmagic URSA Cine only: with a purpose-built shape to maximise convenience without blocking core inputs and ventilation.
