15mm LWS Lens Support

Description

Give yourself peace of mind with our 15mm LWS Lens Support. Mounting to standard 15mm LWS setups, the Lens Support can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically to support the smallest or largest of lenses. Rubber rollers save you from scratches, and the Support comes with both a 1.1” and 1.7” lens post for guaranteed compatibility.

With the option to flip the bracket for extra reach, the Lens Support is the perfect choice for taking the strain off your camera’s lens mount.

No Scuffs or Scratches

With film sets already being full of potential hazards to your camera, the last thing you want is your own gear damaging it. The Lens Support features rubber rollers, designed to help brace the lens without breaking it. This avoids scuffing or scratching the lens’ body without interfering with external lens rings.

For Big and Small Lenses

If you’re working with high-quality glass, the Lens Support offers protection no matter the size. Lenses with an outer diameter between Ø39mm and Ø153mm are fully compatible, with the Lens Support needing to be inverted for extra reach on the smaller options.

Solid Support

For larger lenses, that often come with a built-in screw thread, our Lens Support comes with a double-sided screw: ensuring compatibility and a secure hold. With both a 1/4″ and a 3/8” option, you’ll be able to firmly support any lens. You can either screw the central support into the lens before lowering it into the Lens Support, or clip it on and raise the support to the right height.

15mm LWS Standard

In order to support your lens, you’ll first need some support rods – like those in our Drumstix range. The Lens Support mounts cleanly to 15mm rods at the 15mm LWS standard width – and can slide back-and-forth along their length to help balance the lens. Simply unlock the single turning screw to adjust as much as you need.

Instructions/Assembly

The 15mm LWS Lens Support comes with all required components and screws. The Lens Support comes with the 3/8” adaptor pre-installed.

Lens Support to Rods

1. Loosen the orange clamp and slide the Lens Support onto compatible support rods.
2. When in position, tighten the clamp to secure the Lens Support in place.

Adjusting the Height

1.Loosen the locking lever marked “Lock” in the centre of the Lens Support.
2. Adjust the central cylinder until optimally positioned, and re-secure the clamp.

Swapping Posts or Screw Mounts

1. Unscrew the rubber roller mount from the top of the Lens Support’s central cylinder.

2. Loosen the locking lever and slide the lens support out the bottom of the bracket.

3. Make adjustments to the bracket, or replace the support screw, and re-install the central cylinder.

Compatibility

The 15mm LWS Lens Support is compatible with lenses between Ø39mm and Ø153mm, which includes most cine primes and zooms. In order to reach smaller lenses, the central support must be flipped and the entire bracket must be inverted.

The 15mm LWS Lens Support requires two 15mm support rods in order to correctly mount.
