Get ready for rigging with our 15mm Front Rod Console, designed to mount seamlessly to the Blackmagic PYXIS. Featuring two independently-locked 15mm rod brackets, as well as a line of MAP M4 points, the Front Rod Console is a clean and convenient option for your rig.
15mm Rods Ready
The 15mm Front Rod Console adds dual 15mm support rod brackets to the front of your PYXIS. Each clamp can be individually tightened or loosened, for flexibility and freedom when shooting. For larger lenses, you can flip the Rod Console to gain extra clearance from the PYXIS’ lens mount.
Clean Installation
To keep downtime low on-set, the 15mm Front Rod Console is quick to install: with a handful of twists of a 2.5mm Hex Key, the Console installs to the front of your Blackmagic PYXIS or URSA Cine Top Plates. Thanks to its low-profile size, you can keep the Rod Console installed with minimal interference with the rest of your rig.
Please note that the Rod Console’s clamps will still clash the with the Top Plate, even when inverted.

Instructions/Assembly
The 15mm Front Rod Console comes with all required components and screws. You will require your own 2.5mm Hex Key and the Blackmagic PYXIS Top Plate in order to install.
1. Align the two M3 screws with corresponding threads on the front of the Top Plate.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key in order to install it.
Compatibility
The 15mm Front Rod Console is designed to work with the Blackmagic PYXIS camera body – both 6K and 12K variations. It requires our dedicated Top Plate in order to correctly mount, and can be inverted for compatibility with larger lenses.
Please note that rods cannot pass through the Rod Console as they will collide with the Top Plate. Rods are also not to the 15mm LWS height standard from the PYXIS’ optical centre, even with the console inverted.
