The New Create and Canon C400 Accessory Ranges Have Arrived

c400

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new range of Canon C400 accessory products, which will hit shelves at the end of October alongside the Create range: our most compatible and affordable camera accessories to date.

The C400 is the new go-to choice for film professionals: with a lightweight yet highly versatile build perfect for everything from run-and-gun videography to complex cinematic rigs. We’ve taken the time to perfect these new accessories, and have purpose-built them to pair with the latest Canon cinema camera.

Our new Canon C400 Top Plate

The new top plate and top plate filler are essentials for C400 users: these two components can be used standalone or as a pair – or even piecemeal. Thanks to a modular design, the main Top Plate unit can be installed in three distinct segments, allowing you to selectively choose which plate parts you need. For those needing a streamlined C400 build with minimal bulk, this gives you flexibility as well as practicality. The top plate is designed to work with the core C400 systems, so you don’t lose functionality with this accessory. By keeping the electronic shoe open as well as having dedicated points for the C400 microphone shockmount, no compromise is required.

Complementing this unit is the Top Plate Filler, which sits centrally in the C400 and is perfect for top handles or gimbal plates. This component is completely standalone, and installs directly onto the C400 body with three standard 1/4”-20 screws. Just like its counterpart, the C400 shoe is left clear for electronic components with this top plate filler.

Both top plate and filler are made from sturdy anodised aluminium, for the long-lasting performance that Bright Tangerine is known for.

“The EOS C400 introduces groundbreaking filmmaking technology including a 6K Full Frame BSI sensor, unrivalled Triple Base ISO system and advanced professional connectivity. With a compact and lightweight form factor, its versatile design is suitable for an extensive range of shooting scenarios.
Canon is proud to be working with industry-leading rigging manufacturers such as Bright Tangerine to expand the capabilities of the EOS C400 further with reliable, robust, and comfortable accessories.

Create Range
The new Cheese Stick and Wide Cheese Plate – designed to be ultra-compatible

This week also sees the launch of our new Create range: starting with a selection of cheese plates and adapters that work universally with any camera rig. Made from the same high-quality anodised aluminium as our other camera components, the only difference in the Create range is the price. For smart-starters, self-shooters or small-spenders; the Create range offers you the building blocks for a long-lasting and high-quality rig.

When using the new Cheese Plate Adapter (1/4″-20), give yourself clever clearance from the physical camera body: allowing space for wiring to easily be slotted. Each of the cheese plate options, such as the Wide Cheese Plate, come with threaded holes for easily inserting cables. But if that’s too bulky for your tastes, then the slimline NATO Cheese Stick offers a compact alternative with a NATO rail for added convenience.

We’ve also brought ARRI BUD compatibility to Canon cameras with a new Spacer & Riser for our LeftField 3 15mm LWS Baseplate, giving you correct clearance over the quick-release unit. Paired with any of our 15mm baseplates, you’ll find it easier than ever to configure your dovetail. The spacer can also be used with other recent Canon cameras; such as the C300 Mark III, C500 Mark II or C80.

All these components are available to order now, and start shipping by the end of October. We know that many of you have been clamouring for Bright Tangerine to cater to Canon users, so be sure to pick these new components up sooner rather than later.
