Tall 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket (MAP M4)

Description

Take your setup to new heights with the Tall 15mm Rod Mount Bracket, which adds an elevated 15mm Rod Bracket to your rig. Mounting via any standard MAP M4 points, the Rod Bracket is offset slightly from the mount – making it ideal for viewfinders, transmitters or other accessories.
Low-profile and lightweight, the Tall 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket is easily operated via a winged-lever clamp.

15mm Rod Mounting

15mm rods are an industry standard, and the Tall 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket allows you to attach them from a convenient bracket. Raised 50mm above the mounting point, the Tall Rod Bracket gives you ample clearance from your camera rig – avoiding conflicts with large lenses or top rod consoles, such as on our Canon C400 Top Plate.

Convenient Installation

The Tall Rod Bracket mounts via two captive M4 screws spaced 20mm apart – another industry standard. All it takes is a few twists of a 3mm Hex Key to get you set up with the bracket. Once set, the winged-lever clamp gives you easy access to the rod clamp: with it being easy to operate even when wearing gloves.

Low-Profile Design

The Tall Rod Bracket keeps its footprint low despite its elevated height compared to the standard-size 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket. Made from lightweight anodised aluminium, the bracket adds minimal weight whilst maximising durability, guaranteeing long-lasting performance.

Instructions/Assembly

The Tall 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket ships as a standalone unit with captive screws included. You will require a 3mm Hex Key to install it.

Rod Mounting Bracket to MAP M4 Points

1. Align the captive M4 screws of the Rod Bracket to corresponding MAP M4 points on a camera plate.

2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Rod Bracket to the mounting point.

15mm Rod to Rod Mounting Bracket

1. Loosen the 15mm rod clamp using the winged-lever clamp.

2. Insert a 15mm rod.

3. Tighten the winged-lever clamp to secure the rod in place.

Compatibility

The Tall 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket (MAP M4) mounts to any two MAP M4 points, which can be found on a range of camera accessories including our Canon C400 Top Plate and Canon C80 Top Plate. The rod clamp is elevated 50mm above the mounting point, making it fully compatible with these top plates. The Tall Rod Bracket accepts 15mm rods of any length.
