Build on your Canon C400’s stock accessories with this versatile and modular kit, designed to open up rigging options far beyond the standard camera setup. With support for 15mm rods, ¼” & 3/8” anti-twist threads, MAP M4 and more, the kit provides compatibility with a wide range of accessories; making it perfect for expanding your setup. Designed for compatibility and built to last, this kit provides a superb foundation from which to create the perfect C400 rig.
ARRI Dovetail Baseplate
The kit comes with everything you need to setup the camera with 15mm LWS support on ARRI standard dovetails. This system of quick-release plates means that you can easily swap your camera from tripod to handheld.
Modular Accessories
Mix-and-match the features and accessories of your C400 with ease. Alongside C400-specific accessories such as B4005.1030 – Canon C400 Top Plate or the B4005.1013 – Canon C400 Top Handle Cheese Plate, the kit also comes with versatile customisation options to supplement the camera with. 15mm Rod Support

Instructions
The components in the LeftField 3 Canon C400 kit come with all required screws.
You will require 2.5mm, 3mm and 4mm Hex Keys.
LeftField 3 Canon C400 Standard 15mm LWS Baseplate
Riser to LeftField 3 Baseplate
1. To combine the C400 Riser and the LeftField 3 Baseplate, use a 3mm Hex Key on the 6 M4 screws to install the Riser with the compatible threads on the LeftField 3 Baseplate.
Baseplate to Camera
1. To combine the C400 with the Baseplate, align the screws in the Riser with the threads on the base of the C400.
2. Use a Flathead Screwdriver to install the screws into the base of the C400.
Baseplate to Dovetail
1. Slide the ARRI standard baseplate attached to your camera onto the dovetail.
2. Once the baseplate is in position, tighten the locking mechanism on the baseplate to secure it to the dovetail.
3. To remove your camera, slide to the end of the dovetail before pressing the safety stop and releasing the camera.
Top Section
Top Plate 15mm Rod Console to Top Plate
1. To attach the modular 15mm Rod Console to the rest of the Top Plate, align the front 15mm rod console pins with the matching holes on the left & right plates in the orientation you require.
2. Secure the Rod Console to the plates using the 2.5mm Hex Key.
Top Plate to Camera
1. To install the Top Plate onto the camera, line up the four screws on the left and right brackets with their corresponding mounting points on the C400.
2. Use a 2.5mm Hex Key to tightly attach them to the camera.
Top Handle Extension to Top Handle
1. To install the C400 Top Handle Extension, align the extension with the curved rear of the top handle, so that the screw threads are aligned and the curves align.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tightly screw the two 3/8” screws in place.
Top Handle Cheese Plate to Top Handle
1. To install the Top Handle Cheese Plate, align the two screws with the corresponding threads on the C400 Top Handle: located on the front-right side of the handle.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Cheese Plate to the Top Handle, ensuring it is level against the handle for a secure fit.
NATO Cheese Stick (1/4”-20)
Cheese Stick to Adapter
1. Decide whether you want to mount the Cheese Stick from the top or bottom of the adapter, based on your rigging needs.
2. Insert the two M4 screws into the corresponding holes on the cheese stick, aligning them with the matching holes on the adapter.
3. Using a 3mm hex key, tightly fasten the Cheese Stick to the Adapter, ensuring a secure fit.
Adapter to Top Plate
1. Align the ¼”-20 screw on the Cheese Plate Adapter with a corresponding thread on your Top Plate.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key on the captive ¼”-20 screw to attach the assembled Cheese Stick to the Top Plate, ensuring it is tight and level with the attachment slot.
Compatibility
The LeftField 3 Canon C400 Base Kit is designed to be used with the Canon C400 and LeftField 3 Universal system, but many of the accessories are not camera-specific. The 6” Create Dovetail, NATO Cheese Stick and Cheese Plate Adapter can be used with other camera systems.
