Take the weight off your lens with this Misfit Atom 15mm LWS kit, designed to keep your Misfit Atom locked in place when you need it, and easily removed when you don’t. Consisting of a 15mm rod bracket and an LWS bracket, this kit is ideal for those with fragile lenses or wanting a quickly removed rod mount – rather than the Misfit Atom’s default swing-away system. Made from anodised aluminium for a high-quality and long-lasting finish, this is an essential for reducing downtime on set.

Light Weight Support

The Misfit Atom 15mm LWS kit provides a convenient platform for supporting your Misfit Atom matte box. Rather than hinging the weight on the lens, the LWS kit shifts the weight onto a pair of 15mm support rods. Paired with strong and lightweight options – such as those in our Drumstix range – you can create a steadier rig without additional weight.

Industry Standard

15mm rods are the generally accepted standard for support rods, with most being 15mm in diameter – if you require larger studio-sized rods, consider our 19mm Studio LWS Kit. This means that you can supplement your rig with this LWS kit, especially if you are already using 15mm rods for follow-focus motors or other components.

Convenient Mounting

By using this Misfit Atom 15mm LWS kit, you can convert the matte box from a swing-away system to a rod-mounted matte box. This provides additional steadiness for your matte box, and can make for easier lens-swapping. Simply loosen the rod bracket and slide the matte box off, for access to the camera body.
